Aisha Eccleston Mundy: A Trailblazer in Global Logistics and Transportation

As President of Eccleston International, Inc., Aisha Eccleston Mundy stands out as a dynamic leader in the world of international logistics, construction management, and project administration. With a career spanning over two decades, she has showcased her expertise in strategic planning, program design and global business operations. 

Starting her multi-modal career journey at Crowley and then CSX Transportation, Aisha quickly climbed the corporate ladder. Her roles at Jacksonville Port Authority (JAXPORT) were particularly notable, where over the span of 15 years she contributed to significant port volume growth and established herself as a trusted advisor for the world's largest importers, exporters, and government agencies. 

During her time at JAXPORT, Aisha was instrumental in organizing the first-ever JAXPORT Logistics Conference and played pivotal roles during the visits of Presidents Bush and Obama. She was the liaison for city, state and federal agencies such as Enterprise Florida, USAID, AGOA Officials, U.S. Embassies in Washington D.C. and abroad to assist with humanitarian import/export projects and programs. Some of her standout accomplishments includes organizing and leading three successful transportation trade missions to South Africa, Ghana and Cuba, fostering bilateral trade growth and cultural exchanges.

Aisha's educational background is as impressive as her professional journey. She holds an Associates Degree in Computer Information Systems from Clark Atlanta University and a Bachelor of Business Administration in Organizational Management from Edward Waters University, where she graduated Summa Cum Laude. Additionally, she has certifications in Transportation and Logistics from both the Florida Coastal School of Law and the University of North Florida. 

Beyond her corporate roles, Aisha has been an active member of various industry affiliations. She served on the National Board as Maritime Advisor, Chair of the Emerging Leaders Committee and as Jacksonville Chapter President for the Conference of Minority Transportation Officials (COMTO). Her leadership in COMTO has been recognized with multiple awards. She has been a member of organizations such as the Transportation Diversity Council (TDC), Women's International Shipping & Trading Association (WISTA) and the National Association of Black Women in Construction (NABWIC).

Aisha's commitment to the community is unparalleled. From teaching literacy to mentoring through Big Brother’s Big Sisters, her contributions have left an indelible mark. Aisha's work has not gone unnoticed. Over the years, she has received numerous accolades, including JAXPORT’s “Golden Sail Award” and being named among Jacksonville Business Journal’s Top 40 under 40.
